The Guidelines aim to provide key criteria for reviewers to refer to and take into consideration when refereeing submitted manuscripts. Reviewers may choose applicable items among the criteria based on the nature of the manuscripts.

I. Title and Abstract

Does the title properly reflect the content of the manuscript? If not, how should the title be modified?
Does the abstract conform to the stipulated format? Does it provide a brief summary while fully conveying the major content of the manuscript?

II. Introduction, Concept and Literature Review

Is the description of the background, concept and significance of the research concise and pertinent?
Is the description of the research purposes and questions or hypotheses explicit and appropriate?
Is a complete and appropriate literature review provided? Are any important works left out?

III. Research Methods

Are the research methods adopted appropriate according to the nature of the research questions?
Are the related variables carefully considered and properly controlled?
Are the research process and sampling method appropriate?
Do the instruments demonstrate satisfactory reliability and validity?
Have the internal and external validity of the research been fully taken into account?

IV. Results and Discussion

Are the statistical analysis, processing and presentation of the data concise and appropriate?
Are the figures and tables clearly and properly presented in terms of the content, format and description?
Are the explanation, inference, conclusion and discussion of the results reasonable and appropriate?

Have research limitations been considered when providing explanations and inferences of the findings? Does excessive inference occur?
